The project "Strengthening the SME Sector in the Cross Border Region", was supported by the Cross Border Programme in the Republic of Macedonia and Albania – IPA 2007-2013.

The main objective of the project was to strengthen the economic and local development and increase the competitiveness of the enterprises in Korca Region.

The results of the project:

·        Improving the competitiveness of 200 SMEs from the tourism sector and building their capacities.

·        Reducing the unemployment rate of young people from the cross-border region. 140 unemployed people were trained and 30 of them were employed.

·        Studies and publications related to demands for training and their implementation in SMEs sector and the unemployed in Korca region.
