The Conference – Municipality of Korca
In the framework of the project “Strengthen democracy and rule of law by empowering citizens and civil society through participatory processes in governance”, the opening conference for the Muncipality of Korca was heldon October, 6th, 2015.
The Conference mainly aimed to inform the community about the objective of the project. A lot of problems were identified and discussed as well.
The Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Albania, Ms. Dewi van de Weerd, the Chairman of the City Council in Korca, Mr. Ilir Bajlos and the Prefect of Korca Region, Mr. Ardit Konomi addressed their welcoming notes to the attendees in the Conference. Cooperation with the Local Government, the community and a good coordination of work were the main issues the Ambassador appreciated the most.
